Senior Opencast Mine Surveyor at Bilnor Staffing Solutions

• Bilnor Staffing Solutions' client in the Mining sector is looking for a Senior Opencast Mine Surveyor to join their team for a permanent position in Swartklip, Limpopo. South African citizens and those living in the area will have preference.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct topographic, volumetric, and control surveys.
• Establish and verify control networks.
• Generate plans, cross-sections, and 3D models.
• Report excavation and stockpile volumes.
• Monitor pit progression and design compliance.
• Collaborate with engineers, geologists, and planners.
• Maintain and Onsite calibrate instruments.
• Manage survey records and digital data.
• Ensure compliance with mine standards and regulations.
• Mentor junior surveyors and provide technical support. Minimum Requirements
• COM Survey Certificate or National Diploma in Mine Surveying.
• Computer literate.
• Clean criminal record.
• Code 8 Driver’s License. Experience
• 3–5 years in surface/opencast mining.
• Volumetric and compliance surveys experience.
• GPS, Total Stations, and Laser Scanner experience. Technical Skills
• Model Maker, TBC, Deswik, or similar.
• GIS & geospatial data knowledge.
• Strong analytical skills. 
• Excellent communication.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work in challenging environmental conditions and remote locations.
