A relevant tertiary qualification, preferably a Diploma/B degree in Property Management/ Legal /Built Environment or related
8 years or more relevant experience in property management
Should possess strong project and contract management, facilitation, stakeholder relationship and strategic communications skills
Computer literacy: MS Office
A Code B (08) driver’s license would be an advantage
Willingness to work outside normal working hours when required
Key Performance Areas
Co-ordinates the implementation of key performance areas associated with the professional management of the department's property assets, in terms of the Service Level Agreement with Departments
Coordinates and prepares property management and contract related strategies and policies to align the department's management of its property assets with relevant legislation, policies and strategies
Provides and coordinates the property assets function for the department to provide input to longer term objectives setting and budgeting for the department, and to achieve critical outputs of the department's strategic and business plans
Ensures that the department's property assets records are suitably electronically stored
Performs high-level property asset management functions and co-ordination, advisory and support function to the Department
Ensures that the department complies with all relevant contract legislation and policy requirements
Performs the role of Project Manager and overseeing project management of property assets and contracts and monitors
progress ensuring roll-out of the department's property assets programme, to facilitate the establishment of a regulatory environment for property asset interventions
