Senior SAP MM Support Specialist - JHB at Glencore

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

• Project tracking and reporting on deviations.
• Project risk and issues management.
• Logistics and planning coordination.
• Provide second and third level support in SAP S/4 MM area  Procurement, Inventory Management and Radio frequency Processes.
• Determine business requirements (e.g., functional, and technical, information needs, business processes) through informationgathering sessions.
• Analyse information gathered, document business requirements and map to SAP business processes. 
• Functionality testing: knowledge of, and ability to use, testing methodologies, processes, and tools, including unit, integration, system, regression, and dry run testing.
• Coordinate execution of project tasks in your functional area.
• Provide support for business applications or infrastructure to maintain productivity level. 
• Involved in ongoing SAP global rollout.  
• Collaborate with business decision makers and end users.
• Implement and maintain SAP MM systems using best practices.
• Configure MM solutions in support of business process requirements.
• Identify gaps and issues and assist with solution implementations.
• Provide Level 3 support to site Super Users and End Users as required.
• Perform system changes and configuration.
• Ensure MM documentation is kept up to date.
• Maintain SAP copper documentation and templates and provide to template owners.
• Provide ad hoc informal training and upskilling to SMEs on relevant awareness requirements.
• Collate incident management details.
• Analyse and implement process improvements as required.
• SAP System monitoring related to business processes.
• Execute on SAP MM bug fixes implementation.
• Collaborate and engage with global Business Process Owners.
• Execute and implement system upgrades.
• Provide support to Master Data Governance (MDG).
• Weekly calls with site SMEs and Global BPOs.

QUALIFICATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric – National Senior Certificate
• Relevant Degree or Diploma 
• Post graduate degree (advantageous) 
• SAP Certified

Work Experience:

• 8 years of MM experience plus at least 3 full cycle implementations and 1 S/4 HANA full cycle implementation.
• Strong functional/ technical knowledge across the Supply Chain value chain
• Experience with Coupa would be advantageous.
• Project Management skills.
• Strong problem solving and decisionmaking skills.
• Good organization and coordination skills required.
• Ability to absorb and work under pressure.
• High energy individuals with a positive outlook on change.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across the organisation at all levels.
