    Senior Sourcer

    What We’re Looking For:

    We are building a sourcing hub which forms part of our global SA and US based recruiting team. The Senior Sourcer will be responsible for building our sourcing model as well as developing and executing global sourcing strategies across multiple disciplines and will be instrumental in mentoring and coaching the sourcing team. The sourcing hub will be dedicated to developing and executing on strategies to increase diverse candidate pipelines for hard-to-fill positions across multiple disciplines and will heavily leverage research and technology for outreach to market 2U to new, passive candidates within a global market (USA, ZA, UK and AUS).

    Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

    Research & Talent Mapping

    • Leverages expert knowledge of the market to share the latest news and/or trends.

    • Develop a sourcing strategy, conduct research and build talent maps to address talent gaps or scarce skills within the organisation to reduce time to hire.

    • Proactively stays up to date and takes initiative to share the latest market and competitor information as well as recruiting best practices.

    • Offer sound guidance across areas of expertise and act as a trusted advisor for internal stakeholders.

    • Coaches and develops members of the sourcing hub and recruitment team to develop and enhance research and talent mapping skills.

    Sourcing

    • Targets and attracts candidates through deep research and creative approaches that includes internal relationships, tools (e.g. LinkedIn, Hired.com, Indeed and others), events (e.g., meetups) and other creative outlets to build diverse candidate pipelines:

      • Responsible for candidate relationship management, manages prospects and creates talent pools across various regions and disciplines.

      • Consistently iterates and experiments with sources and ideas for creative candidate generation.

      • Meets weekly candidate outreach targets as assigned by the manager.

      • Partners with recruiters and shares responsibility for pipeline and candidate development.

    • Adopts a more proactive rather than reactive strategy to build a strong talent pipeline and have a warm candidate pool ready for key needs anticipated across the business and location.

    • Serves as an advisor to the team on the latest sourcing trends and best practices.

    • Establishes a level of expertise within a specific market that impacts overall strategy and types of vehicles/tools used.

    • Provides the initial briefing as well as the final presentation of candidates to Recruiter or Hiring Manager, ensuring a consistent and effective review process for each candidate.

    • As needed conducts qualifying calls with candidates based on “must have” requirements needed for certain roles.

    • Proposes new platforms, tools and sources for pipeline generation.

    Internal Stakeholder Relationship Management

    • Builds solid relationships with 2U’s Recruiters to effectively navigate them through the talent mapping, talent attraction and sourcing components of the recruiting life cycle.

    • Provides guidance to Recruiters on hiring specifications, job descriptions, and action plans to maximize candidate sourcing.

    • Where relevant shares insights and provides updates to hiring stakeholders.

    Referrals/Internal Mobility

    • Manage and optimise the global employee referral process and experience.

    • Provide support to Recruiters to optimise our internal mobility process.

    Team Development & Continuous Improvement

    • Coaches and develops members of the sourcing hub and recruitment team to develop and enhance research and talent mapping skills.

    • Shares talent attraction strategies and sourcing best practices across the team.

    • Proactively seeks new knowledge, skills, and trends and shares with the team.

    • Partners closely with the Recruiting Leadership team on process improvements as it relates to talent attraction strategies.

    Things That Should Be In Your Background:

    • Bachelor’s degree required.

    • 5+ years in a Recruiting capacity with sourcing responsibilities.

    • 5+ year expert level ability to navigate advanced sourcing tools such as LinkedIn, search strings, and knowledge of new sourcing tools.

    • Demonstrated success in attracting passive candidates in a niche market. Preferably in the technology industry.

    • Experience supporting a fast-paced, high growth organization.

    • Previous experience using an applicant tracking system (preferred).

    • Strong research and organizational skills.

    • Strong attention to detail.

    • Demonstrated computer skills in one or more of the following: MAC, PC, Google suite, MS Office products.

    • Knowledge of various social media networking/recruiting sites is a plus.
