Senior Survey Scripter - Cape Town at Ipsos

• The script builder is responsible for programming and testing all aspects of CAPI, CATI and online scripts. They script builder will work closely with client service and field teams to ensure that projects are completed on budget and on time. 
• To create survey programmes based on questionnaires provided by the client.
• To create quota files defined by the CS and end client.
• To create excerpt files, based on data provided by the client and to submit the results to the team leader or the client, strictly meeting the deadline.
• To upload/launch all the necessary files of the research on the servers (test/ real); to test the programme and provide URL to the client.
• To perform quality check of pre-programmed questionnaires.
• To communicate with the colleagues in relation to programming the questionnaires, including with the teams conducting the research (the researchers), the team leader, the project manager.
• To create and keep records of the finished projects and tasks (all the necessary files).
• To deal with basic tasks related to data processing himself/herself (DP – recode, de-rotate, simple DMS / MRS scripts).
• To participate in developing applications and scripts which optimise the work of the team.
• To help the newly employed programmers, in case of questions and ambiguities about the process and the project work.
• To perform other responsibilities delegated by the immediate superior in accordance with his/her professional training.
• To fill in the system for reporting the project work regularly.

Qualifications 

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related field.

Knowledge & Skills 

• Expertise in Javascript, VB.Net, Excel Macros programming.
• Practical knowledge of MS Office, advanced MS Excel and Power Bi.
