Qualifications and experience required:

• A three-year tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management or related field.
• Two to five years’ relevant experience.
• Computer literacy.
• Valid Code B driver’s licence.
• Post-graduate qualification in Organisational Development is an added advantage.
• It would be an added advantage for the incumbent to possess his/her own vehicle for which a locomotion allowance will be paid as per the relevant policy.

• Understanding of municipal priorities, goals, policies, procedures, and issues impacting on service delivery.
• Displaying thorough knowledge of subject matter and can communicate at various levels.
• Ability to understand the change drivers, the complexities associated with it and provide clarity.
• Analysing and interpreting data and producing reports for incorporation into processes.
• Providing professional advice, its implementation and guidance with regard to the function and procedures.

Duties:

• Conducting organisational development (OD) investigation and obtaining approval thereof.
• Contributing to the development of staff establishment in line with strategic objectives of the Institution.
• Co-ordinating alignment of staff establishment with the service delivery model and the budget.
• Conducting functional investigation and/or work measurement.
• Developing, designing productivity activities, and providing support and coaching advice to employees.

Job purpose:

• Rendering a management support function by carrying out investigations in the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality to facilitate efficiency and effectiveness on delivery of services, productivity and make recommendations on the best line of action.
• As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
