Sewage Plant Process Controller at AECI Limited

Job Description    
Acacia is looking to recruit 3x Sewage Plant Process Controller to work in Umbogintwini. To operate Sewage Plant and carry out all Plant processes for Acacia in Umbogintwini.
Acacia Operations Services (Pty) Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of AECI, focused on providing a wide range of utilities and services to the Umbogintwini Industrial Complex.

Duties & Responsibilities    

•  Comply by regulations R813 regulations relating to Compulsory National Standards or Process Controllers.
•  Regulates the flow of raw sewage from channels onto settlers according to the incoming flow rate by means of adjustable weirs.
•  Checks that bar screen, on the incoming raw sewage are in a clean condition
•  Takes regular pH tests. Maintains pH at 7 by addition of lime.
•  Takes samples of liquid effluent for laboratory analysis.
•  Removes accumulated sand and grit from grit-arresting channel and disposes of it into container provided.
•  Checks and cleans screens. Collects waste from screenings for later disposal by Waste Removal Company.
•  Compliance with the Safety, Health and Environment requirements of the position.

Qualifications & Experience    

•  Matric / Grade 12.
•  NQF Level Three Process Controller with Class 2 as per Regulation R813 regulations relating to Compulsory National Standards for Process Controllers.
•  NQF Level Three Process Controller training for Blue Drop & Green Drop.
•  Minimum of 2 years’ experience.
•  Required to have a process Controller Certificate.
•  Have knowledge and experience of having worked on Waterworks Purification plants, as well as having on Sewage Treatment plants.
•  Ability to work shifts.
