To conduct shift resource planning and instructions in line with office instruction and to monitor processes and procedures during shift to ensure health and safety of team and compliance to SOPs, COPs, and production targets. The incumbent prevents breakdowns, damages and wastage of material and resources and provides accurate reporting.

You will have the following:

• Grade 12
• Driver’s License
• Blasting Certificate
• Mine Overseers Certificate Part A (Advantageous)
• Health and Safety Standards and Procedures
• Knowledge of materials utilized
• Correct handling of explosives
• Problem solving skills essential
• Supervisory and leadership skills essential
• Computer Skills for Material/Stock ordering

You will have advanced skills and knowledge in: 

• 3-5 years Underground Mining
• 2 years Shift Boss

• Forecast, secure and manage the budget as per Delegation of Authority Matrix
