A shipping clerk is responsible for optimizing the flow of containers within the department. Also provide administrative compliance and account for the shipping department inventory.

Job Requirements:

• Grade 12
• 1-2 years’ experience
• Certificate in logistics with be an advantage.
• Proven administrative skill.
• Proven ability of Tallman, BMS
• Proven knowledge of the procedures in the shipping department.
• Physically fit

Key Performance Areas:

• Co – Ordinating Exports Containers
• Ensure that all transport documentation is correct and according to client’s specification.
• Compliance with claims that may arise.
• Communicate effectively with 3rd party service providers to ensure shipment runs effectively.
• Managing staff to ensure that the department is functioning effectively and efficiently.
• Ensure ISO standards are maintained.
