• Exceed or achieve the site financial targets (Allowable & Productivity)
• Assist with the adherence and implementation of policies , procedures, statutory law and regulations (Engineering & SHEQ)
• Implement a high standard on the site to meet and exceed client satisfaction (Project milestones, Culture, Quality & Professionalism)
• Assist with planning & programming of the project by measuring & evaluation operational performance, processes, resources in order to enhance efficiencies (Subcontractors, Plant, Formwork, Labour, Strategic materials)
• Be effective in understanding & implementing problem solving decisions for the site.
• Demonstrate detailed knowledge and expertise in relation to job, readily absorb new technical information and keep up to date in the field of engineering.
• Establish clear priorities, schedule activities to ensure optimum use of time and resources, monitors performance against objectives.
• Produce detailed project plans in which objectives are clearly defined and action steps for achieving them are clearly specified.
• Produce written communication which are clear, fluent, concise and readily understood by the intended recipient.
• Seek all relevant information for problem solving and decision making.
• Committed to the achievement and maintenance of quality, set high standards of performance for self and others.
• Knowledgeable about financial and commercial matters, focus on cost, profits, markets, business opportunities.
• Provide prompt, efficient and personalized service to clients.

Requirements

• BSc Degree or other relevant qualification in Civil Engineering.
• ECSA / SACPCMP Registration
• Minimum 5 years working experience in the construction industry specifically in the Roads & Earthworks discipline.
• Basic understanding of allowables vs Cost.
• Basic Surveyor skills
• Good interpersonal and time management skills.
• Valid Drivers’ License
