Job Description

• To effectively manage staff, motor and non -motor investigators, the processes, procedures , systems and departments accompanying this , in order to maximize gains , minimize losses and minimize costs

Internal Process:

• Staff day to day Management
• Allocate, check validate all claims allocated to the team
• Conduct final interviews on problematic claims
• Complaint handling of any issues arising during claims validation or following the outcomes of any claim dealt with by the team members
• Report monthly on progress, successes and failures of the team to stakeholders
• Assist /influence other areas of the business once an investigation is concluded i.e report on the quality of sale/policy wording and application or adjustment of underwriting criteria
• Report on any risks identified and suggested controls and report any other failures which influences the merits of an investigation
• Enhance service delivery in the claims departments
• Contribute to optimizing work practices and procedures via suggestions
• Upskill / influence claims advisors by sharing knowledge
• Effectively build, maintain and manage relationships with clients, brokers, service providers and business partners.
• Achieve minimum standards with regards to saving ratios, turnaround time,
• Customer satisfaction scores, ombudsman overturned ratios and expense ratios

Minimum Job Requirements (Skills, Experience and Qualification)

• Matric
• 3 Team Management experience
• 3 years relevant investigation / claims experience
• Knowledge of criminal procedure act (51 of 1977) as advantageous
• Knowledge of policy wording, conditions and application (preferable STI)
• Appropriate Insurance qualification
• Qualifications investigation of crime (Detective course) & Vehicle Crime Investigation (Preferable)
