Core Responsibilities:
Apply strategic capability and leadership to achieve Divisional and Departmental set goals and objectives
Manage the Planning and Construction section to ensure that deadlines are met, and to support sustainable infrastructure growth within communities
Plan and determine costs for service connections infrastructure greater than 100A including upgrades and downgrades, relocation of existing services and network extensions
Approve design and monitor the construction of new developments, electrification projects, street and high mast lighting and construction of substations
Manage the updating of all drawings and database to ensure capturing of correct information in the planning process
Manage the process of comments relating to sub-division, consolidation, consent used, service agreement and re-zoning of township establishment
Comment and control projects in line with the IDP process for the specific area
Provide input to strategic planning and comment on specifications and scope of works for quotations and bids to appoint contractors
Comply with budget cost, financial regulations, minimize expenditure and prevent financial loses
Ensure compliance with the Batho Pele principles, maintain good customer relations and efficient and productive service delivery
