Snr. R&D Chemist (Epping) at Aspen Pharma Group

JOB REQUIREMENTS:          

• MSc(synthetic chemistry) or an Equivalent Qualification as per the National Qualifications Framework (NQF)
• Proven ability to lead synthetic chemistry projects.
• Proven ability to generate technical documents and research reports.
• Understanding of OHSE regulations and applied knowledge of cGMP within a production environment will be an advantage

BASIC JOB BASIC JOB FUNCTIONS (DEPENDANT ON TEAM):

• To lead a team of research chemists and/or technicians in the R&D laboratory.
• To plan and lead a team to carry out small scale and scale-up experiments to assist with the development of synthetic processes and technology transfer to production.
• To develop efficient and environmentally acceptable scaled-up synthetic processes for the manufacturing of new products.
• To provide chemical support to existing and new processes in Production.
• To assist in compilation and review of manufacturing protocols and research reports.
• To transfer manufacturing technology to pilot and/or production facility.
• Comply with GMP requirements as outlined by Company SOP’s and written instructions in all tasks and activities.
• Adhere to all Company OHSE rules and regulations.
