Snr Tax Specialist: Africa at The South African Breweries (SAB)

The senior tax specialist role is an important one within Africa Zone Tax and will report to the Zone Tax Director.

Key outputs and responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Zone Tax Director, to deliver on zone tax KPI’s and transformational projects.
• Work closely with the legal & corporate affairs teams to collaborate efforts when responding on tax policy matters
• To manage tax value and tax risk of companies within the zone through the delivery of specialist technical tax advice and decision support (through assistance on ad hoc tax projects)
• Maintenance of tax team KPI dashboard 
• Assist in the preparation of monthly tax T&M presentations, to be submitted & presented to Global Tax
• Assist in the preparation and monthly meetings with VP Finance and Zone President on Finance Projects
• Conduct internal tax reviews of direct & indirect tax processes, propose actions and recommendations to the relevant stakeholders
• Collate and monitor all zone tax trackers and where necessary, keep the Tax Director and other stakeholders updated on substantial changes
• To maintain a good relationship with all the tax staff in Global and BU tax teams, including in-country tax specialists & finance teams
• Assist in the management of tax controversy matters including transfer pricing

Profile: Education and Experience

• HDip in Tax and Law Strong analytical and business skills
• 5 years Tax experience
• Pro-active with good inter-personal skills
• 2 years International tax experience with a focus on Africa
• Transfer pricing experience
• Past M&A Tax experience
