    Social Media Engagement Specialist

    • Monitor activities on ChannelVAS's social media pages (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Linkedin and Twitter), in particular the pages of its consumer businesses for loan apps and low-cost rental phones
    • Respond to comments in an informative, friendly and professional manner that aims at 100% customer satisfaction
    • Apply product knowledge, white papers and industry information in a pro-active manner towards posting content (including messages, tweets, pictures and GIF) that fascinate target audiences and that keep conversations going
    • Monitor and respond to relevant posts on forums such as community, technology, app review and employee review websites
    • Forward customer feedback to internal stakeholders, so as to improve products and customer experiences
    • Manage and motivate Customer Care and Social Media colleagues in-country
    • Identify influencers and manage the relationships with them
    • Deploy a suite of analytics and reporting tools to map social media activities
    • Work closely with marketing colleagues and business owners to draw up coherent communication plans and budgets
    • Frequently engage with internal stakeholders for new "scoops"

    Requirements:

    • A minimum of 3 years direct working experience developing content and managing social properties in a corporate environment. Applicants without this experience will not be considered
    • ROI focused and passionate about (app) technology, emerging market cultures and social development goals such as financial and digital inclusion - always hungry with fire in the eyes!
    • Excellent English reading and writing skills - French and/or Arabic would be advantageous, as would West African local languages
    • Data-driven; thinks in numbers
    • Good understanding on the socio-demographics in the global emerging markets
    • A people person who understands the human psyche, interprets underlying messages correctly and creates positive feelings
    • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
    • Experience with Hootsuite or other social media monitoring platforms and with photo editing software
    • Readiness to travel to emerging markets from time-to-time
    • The flexibility to work at odd hours if the situation so requires
    • Self-motivated to perform & improve all activities
    • Not afraid of taking risks & making mistakes (once)
