Soft Services Supervisor at AFMS Group

Primary Duties

• Oversee night cleaning operations at various sites to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained.
• Travel between different contracts and sites as needed.
• Support on-site supervisors and staff to promote efficient workflow and high morale.
• Coordinate sourcing and transportation of relief staff after hours.
• Manage the delivery of cleaning supplies and chemicals to site as required.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with cleaning standards and SLA requirements.
• Monitor equipment maintenance and conduct routine checks to ensure it is operational and safe.
• Handle human resource matters, including staff issues and industrial relations.
• Collaborate with day shift management to ensure smooth transitions and operational continuity. 

Secondary Duties

• Address and resolve any complaints or issues that arise promptly.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation, including OHS registers and Daily Safety Task Analysis.
• Participate in toolbox talks to promote a culture of safety and communication.
• Assist with preparation of chemical orders and inventory checks.
• Complete reports related to safety, cleanliness, and operational performance.
• Be available to work on weekends and public holidays as required.

Key Skills and Experience

• Minimum Grade 12 education.
• Supervisory experience and people leadership of at least 5 years.
• Proven experience in contract cleaning and managing multiple contracts simultaneously
• Excellent knowledge of general hygiene practices and facility layouts
• Strong understanding of cleaning products, their applications, and safety protocols
• Excellent understanding of Health and Safety practices.
• A valid unendorsed driver's license is required for travel between sites
