Software Test Automation Engineer (Cape Town) at PathCare

• We are looking for an intermediate to senior IT professional with high level of work ethics and integrity, who adopts a solution driven approach, to automate test cases to assist us to deploy software of high quality to our user base.

Knowledge/Qualification

• An applicable tertiary qualification, preferably IT degree(s) and/or relevant certifications, e.g. ISTQB CT-TAE
• Strong proficiency in Selenium WebDriver using Java

Experience

• Solid (3-5 years) experience as a Software Test Automation Engineer
• Expert level and hands-on experience of developing test scripts in Selenium using Java
• Recommended experience and skill with Cypress
• Thorough understanding of software testing and testing methodologies
• Experience working in an agile team and working with JIRA highly beneficial

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium with Java for web applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and ensure test coverage
• Execute test cases, analyse results, and report defects, providing clear documentation
• Work closely with developers to ensure the timely resolution of issues and improve product quality
• Continuously update and enhance the test automation framework to meet evolving project needs
• Participate in code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to process enhancements.
• Contribute to the creation of comprehensive regression test packs, test plans and test cases.
• Creation and maintenance of test packs for electronic interfaces between our systems and various external systems and analysers
