    Sourcing Buyer

    Job Purpose:

    • To develop a sourcing strategy and provide a 3year plan for Clicks across Merchandise, by establishing sourcing expertise to deliver increased profitability, grow market share and speed to market.

    Job Objectives:

    • To identify new sourcing opportunities as an input on 18 month NPD planning process to improve profit, quality and product safety.
    • To identify specific tender/margin enhancement projects on current ranges as an input on 18 month NPD planning process to improve profit, quality and product safety.
    • To source from local and international suppliers, prepare detailed briefs and ensure a fair tender process is followed to deliver innovation and increased profitability.
    • To ensure continuous innovation, by presenting newness found through the sourcing process, thereby identifying the gaps and opportunities for the 18-month plan.
    • To be responsible for quality, health and safety across all sourcing initiatives by adhering to legislation and NPD approval process to protect the Brand reputation and financial impact on the business.
    • To effectively communicate planned sourcing projects to management, in order to influence and gain agreement on these projects prior to implementation.
    • To ensure effective execution of sourcing projects, by presenting options to management and then communicating the approved project to NPD for development.
    • To build IP and sourcing business through developing relationships with industry experts, internal experts and sourcing trips.
    • To establish sourcing business plan/case, including detailed cost benefit exercises to drive profit in Private Label.
