Sourcing Specialist at Glencore

The incumbent in this role is responsible for coordinating the sourcing activities between the Glencore Coal SA subject matter experts and the Accenture Sourcing Team in developing a Sourcing and Vendor Management Strategy, Policies and Systems, thereby ensuring the that processes are in place for the effective and timeous sourcing and delivery of key and cost-effective goods and services to support the Glencore Coal SA business.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Working with Supply Chain Manager to facilitate collaboration between Accenture, end users and Mine Management and align the value delivery plan with business needs.
• Developing, supporting, and leading the development of Category Sourcing Strategies, Policies and Systems are put in place and updated/maintained as required.
• Overseeing the supplier selection and negotiation processes by the Accenture sourcing teams.
• Coordinating the engagement of internal subject matter experts by the Accenture sourcing team to ensure that the specifications for goods are accurately captured prior to going out on tender.
• Monitoring supplier performance and manage supplier relationships as relevant across various key commodities.
• Reviewing the performance of the Accenture Sourcing Team in delivering against contract expectations and timelines.

About you:
To be considered for this role, you will meet the following minimum requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

• A Relevant tertiary qualification.

Minimum Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience at a D-lower-level position in any of the following disciplines - Engineering, Mining, Processing or Finance.
• Experience in business and key sourcing requirements.
• Experience in understanding of the sourcing and other key supply chain methodologies will be an added advantage
