Job Summary
The Absa Investor Services (AIS) team in CIB Tech is looking for a Specialist Solution Analyst to work as part of a DevOps team, leverage specialist analysis & testing tools, frameworks, techniques and practices to elicit, define and organize business requirements. Translate & document business requirements into user stories & specifications (Full Stack, Cross System) detailing integration points, business & associated risk / opportunities to be realised. And following this analysis, work collaboratively within squads during design & delivery activity including assuming responsibility for manual application testing processes, frameworks & outcomes
Job Description
AIS offers a holistic range of operational and administrative support solutions to institutional clients including asset managers, pension funds, stockbrokers, life insurers, government departments, global custodians and broker dealers. These solutions include Trustee Services, Derivatives Clearing, Investment Administration, Securities Lending, Issuance, Cash Management and Custody, Safekeeping, Settlements and Corporate Actions.
We require a business, technology and team facing Quality Solution Analyst and Engineer that has experience working with agile teams, with a strong focus on enabling business value through quality delivery.
Key accountabilities:
Assist team and business stakeholders in defining understandable and testable user stories, scenarios, requirements and acceptance criteria as appropriate
Effectively collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders, understand the concept of using tests to document requirements and drive development
Analysis (including Business Case)
Solution Design (within DevOps Context)
Solution Delivery & Testing (manual)
Key skills/competencies required:
Min 5 years business & systems analysis experience
Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
Experience in Agile Methodology & working embedded within an Agile team(s)
Degree or Diploma in computer science, or relevant IT / Analysis
Banking domain experience, preferred.
Expertise in Systems Design & Integration
Knowledge of the domain
Technical, organizational and people skills
Change agility, ability to adapt to change and work with various stakeholders
Understanding of the fundamentals of automated testing as well as working knowledge of automation tools
Hands on experience with designing tests cases that can be easily automated
Ability to assess automation feasibility based on the potential for reuse -- for example, as part of a regression suite
Education
Bachelor's Degree: Information Technology
