Responsibilities
1. Design and create tables, views, partitions, complex stored procedures, functions, indexes, and other database objects
2. Build SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages and projects in Visual Studio to support the extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) of data.
3. Configure automated monitoring of database systems and make use of existing monitoring and alerting tools to identify and troubleshoot operational failures.
4. Optimise the execution of code and queries using best development practices, indexing and tuning tools in order to achieve peak execution performance.
5. Document processes and procedures for development and workflow needs
6. Ensure that Data Lifecycle is upheld for active, inactive, and restored Databases
7. Build C# scripts to extend the functionality available within SQL Server Data Tools (Visual Studio).
8. Evaluate technology and techniques to implement and maintain databases and database environment.
9. Collaborate with the development team and leadership to assist and deliver on an array of projects.
10. AWS experience is beneficial
Qualifications
1. Significant experience in SSIS development
2. Significant and recent development experience with SQL Server 2012 onward.
3. Ability to work with the ensuring adherence to best practices and abiding by the established coding standards
4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
5. Excellent communication skills
6. Experience in T-SQL, SSIS, C#
