Sr Marketing Specialist - Kempton Park at Xylem Inc.

• The marketing specialist role is responsible to contribute to the overall success of the team’s delivery and implementation of all strategic and marketing objectives, throughout the business across all regions in Africa. The role responsibilities include initiation and successful delivery with all of the associated projects and marketing management artefacts and final successful closure and benefits realisation tracking of all marketing projects.

The role is based on a marketing projects management framework. Your role is primarily operational excellence with good strategic foresight to translate business goals into marketing plans 360 Marketing Campaigns Take full ownership of managing the operational execution of activations including.

• Coordinating and planning
• Include all channels – traditional, digital, PR, events and social into all campaigns.
• Engaging regional internal teams
• Engaging agencies for execution
• Driving the target numbers
• Working to budgets
• Setting KPIs
• Reporting
• Watermark
• Support CSR initiatives outlined by the Watermark lead.
• Communications
• Devise and execute all internal and external communications plan
• GeneralManaging all administration including
• Processing of invoices
• Updating trackers
• Dispatching goods to regions
• Managing and drive adoption of Workplace, Xylem’s internal social channel
• Manage corporate gifts
• Support Manager to do data collection, research, meet strategic goals, planning, reporting etc

• Strategy and Marketing
• Bachelor degree or equivalent diploma in marketing management
• Marketing specialisation in digital marketing, events management, project management or similar – advantageous
• Minimum 2-5 years marketing management experience
• Demonstrable experience in marketing together with the potential and attitude required to learn
• Experience in an environment where formal marketing management processes
• Proven experience in Microsoft Office at advanced levels
• Strong verbal and written communication skills used at all levels within the organisation
• Proven experience in social media and digital channels
• Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
• Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
• Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets
• Located in South Africa
• French speaking advantageous
• Graphic design skills advantageous
• Willingness to travel across Africa.
