RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides excellent, professional customer service at all times, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Assists customers with purchases by advising or sourcing relevant advice from horticultural personnel.
• Loads customers' trolleys with their purchases and guides them to the till points and assists the cashier with capturing the correct code/price of products.
• After payment, carefully load purchases into the customer vehicle, ensuring that all trolleys are returned to the trolley areas as per seasonal operational requirements.
• Responsible for maintenance of a demarcated area of the Nursery in a clean and tidy condition at all times
• Maintains all plants in the demarcated area in a clean, healthy, and saleable condition.
• Assists with the correct labelling of plants and packs them in their correct sales areas.
• Prepares areas for new stock.
• Ensures that sales areas are always kept neat and tidy and plants are effectively displayed.
• Assists with annual stock take.
• Assist with customer enquiries
• Provide feedback and communication to clients
• Loading and updating loyalty point for clients
• Handle credits and returns
• Compile quotations

Requirements

• A National Senior Certificate (NQF level 4) (essential)
•  A Diploma in Horticulture (essential)
• Nursery Assistant experience for at least 1 Year
• Garden Centre Plant and Product knowledge
