    Strategy Specialist

    Job Description

    • As a Strategy Specialist with a focus on omni-channel strategies utilizes various digital tools like GMP (Google Marketing Platform) and social media to craft data-driven plans that reach customers across all touchpoints.
    • The Strategist Specialist within the internal Internet Capability is responsible for the planning and development of digital platform strategies across different stickers, and is also responsible for: data, tech, AI and campaign strategies within their stickers and/or portfolios.
    • This includes constant cross functional collaboration with several BU’s and teams in FRG, including Channels, Sub Segments, Dynamic Decisioning, iDNA, BU Analytics, Retail and Commercial Sales and Interactions
    • Enablers for the end-to-end data and campaign flows into and from Internet Capability.
    • A strong vision, energy, passion, and the desire to learn is required, as well as the ability to work effectively across a broad spectrum of people.

    Are you someone who can:

    Digital Strategy planning and audience analysis

    • Develop, plan, manage and monitor paid media strategies to address digital marketing objectives across all paid media channels, audiences, funnel phases and KPIs
    • Conduct market research to understand target audience demographics, needs, and online behaviour.
    • Analyse competitor strategies across digital channels.
    • Develop overarching digital marketing goals aligned with overall business objectives (e.g., brand awareness, lead generation, sales).
    • Help craft an omni-channel strategy that integrates GMP (including Display & Video 360, Google Ads & social media platforms)
    • Help define success metrics (KPIs) to track performance across each channel.

    Data & competitive Analysis and research

    • Regularly monitor campaign performance across all channels using website analytics, social media insights, and GMP reporting tools.
    • Unpack data to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations on campaigns for better performance.
    • Understand the A/B testing framework to test different ad creatives, content formats, and landing pages to determine the most effective strategies.

    Collaboration and Communication

    • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders from BUs like Digital Marketing, data and internal sales teams
    • Maintain clear communication with all teams, keeping them informed of campaign progress and results.
    • Knowledge sharing within the team by supporting in workshops, generating of presentations, or internal knowledge-sharing platforms.
    • Continuously research and stay updated on the latest digital marketing trends, technologies, best practices in data, tech & AI.
    • Identify new opportunities and adapt strategies to leverage emerging trends in the digital landscape.

    You will be an ideal candidate if you:

    Qualifications

    • Do you hold a bachelor’s degree equivalent to NQF Level 7 in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field?
    • Google industry certifications necessary (Google Ads, GMP products, social)
    • Other digital Marketing, analytical and or media qualifications will be advantageous

    Experience and Skills

    • 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing strategy, with a track record of developing and implementing successful campaigns across various platforms.
    • Understanding of data-driven decision making and applying insights to future campaign strategies.
    • Experience with Google Ads and Google Marketing Platform (GMP): Demonstrated success in creating holistic strategies across Google Marketing Platform (GMP) products (Display & Video 360, Search Ads 360) embracing the ever-evolving data and AI functionalities.
    • Experience working with a variety of digital marketing channels, including social media, Search, Display and others
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data from various sources, including GMP, social media platforms, and website analytics tools like SImilarWeb, AppAnnie, etc.
