Supervisor Production Reduction - Richards Bay at South32

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• This role is a permanent full-time position.
• As a Supervisor Production Reduction, you will be responsible for the supervision and the execution of production and logistics activities undertaken by front-line operational personnel and lead in line with the schedule, standards and performance targets for People, HSECQ, Volume & Cost.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Provide day-to-day supervision, expertise and direction to a Production team within an operation area to ensure delivery against plans;
• Supervise and lead the execution of the production plan in order to achieve established performance targets;
• Ensure Production employees and contractors adhere to work standards, are competent, and understand the purpose and functionality of critical controls relevant to their work;
• Provide input into production or logistics strategies, budgets, and plans as well as the improvement of work management processes and critical controls for material risks;
• Provide day-to-day supervision, expertise and direction to a Production team within an operational area to ensure delivery against plans;
• Provide support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of objectives;
• Identify and develop cost-effective processes to increase efficiency and reduce cost drivers.

ABOUT YOU;

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• A minimum of 4 - 6 years in Production/ Industrial experience of which 1 year in a supervisory capacity in a production field;
• Be prepared to work shifts if needed;
• Perform standby duties from time to time as required by the organization;
• Computer literacy (MS Office).

Qualifications for this role are:

• Degree / National Diploma in a Technical field of study;
• Valid Trade Test.
