    Supervisor: Warehouse

    Key Responsibilities

    • To work in conjunction with managers and to monitor, develop subordinates
    • To provide leadership, control and manage the DHL logistics depot
    • Responsible for integrity of client warehouse stocks
    • Implement and update systems and procedures for the control and security of the business
    • Active participation in stock counts (planning, preparation and physical counting of stock)
    • Time and attendance. Update Kronos time and attendance system daily
    • Work in conjunction with operating areas as determined by management and performing ADHOC duties as and when required to meet the needs of the business
    • Compliance to Good Distribution Practice Guidelines, as well as MCC and SAPC requirements
    • Updating and sharing of operation reports
    • Manage daily shift operations including customer planning requirements
    • Meet and exceed operational service levels and manage the cost of labour
    • Timely and accurate completion of tasks
    • Drive and develop team culture
    • Manage change effectively
    • Compliance with statutory and Company Policies and Procedures
    • Delivery of Key Performance Indicators
    • Basic WMOS / PRIDE / TOMS understanding to facilitate and ensure KPI’s are delivered
    • OMS - Support and monitor/manage e.g. BBS Conversations
    • Translate, analyze and deliver customer needs through effective operations
    • Manage HR related matters and report to HR and Site Management
    • Implementation and support approaches to prepare and support individuals, teams, and leaders in making organizational changes that drives the business forward
    • Quality Control
    • Compliance to Standard Operating Procedures
    • Delivery of safe, secure and clean work environment for team members
    • Adherence to Health & Safety rules
    • Adherence to the units SHEQ rules and best practices
    • Team Building and Morale Management
    • Maximize accuracy, productivity and space utilization
    • Effective Leadership and Management of the operational and administrative teams
    • Manage Human Resource through management team, ensure appropriate levels of Human resources to meet business needs, performance issues, training and development, employee productivity and recruitment and retention of staff.

    Ensure team ensure compliance with statutory and company policies on:

    • Health and Safety
    • Employment Equity
    • Labour relations
    • Legislative
    • Industrial issues
    • Including regular monitoring to ensure these areas are maintained at a high level of compliance.
    • Ensure daily or weekly workload planning and volume forecasting routines are accomplished
    • Ensure product safety, quality and integrity is not compromised
    • Report any person behavior that may impact on the safety, quality or integrity of the stored product
    • Always wear the company uniform with pride, ensuring that the uniform is clean and presentable
    • Willingness and availability to work shifts and overtime due to operational requirements
    • Ensure that all work areas are kept neat and tidy
    • Conform and promote awareness to staff on ISO 9001, ISO 22716, ISO 13485 and regulatory requirements associated with the QMS
    • Working in a team environment

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Matric
    • 5-6 Years Supervisory experience
    • Relevant Degree or Qualification
    • Computer literacy
    • Communication skills
    • Ability to count accurately and to perform simple math
    • Ability to read, understand and follow directions/instructions
    • Ability to work within a rapidly changing environment
    • Deadline driven
    • Good written and communication skills
    • 6-8 years Logistics/Warehousing experience
    • Enforcement of Health & Safety procedures and identify hazards
    • Achieve work targets and is willing to take on additional roles/responsibilities
    • Ability to work under pressure
