    Supply Chain Planning Manager

    Overview

    • The Supply Chain Planning Manager is responsible for developing, leading, implementing and continuously improving Omnia's integrated demand and supply planning strategy, operating framework, processes and capabilities across the end-to-end supply chain.
    • The role ensures that demand, supply, inventory, production, procurement and distribution plans are aligned to business objectives, enabling optimal customer service, working capital performance, inventory optimisation and operational efficiency.
    • The incumbent will support the Master Planner in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, manages planning teams and systems, drives cross-functional alignment. Custodian of forecasting, inventory management, supply planning, master data governance, new product introductions and product phase-in/phase-out activities.
    • The role serves as the key link between Commercial, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain and Finance functions to ensure sustainable business performance and strategic execution.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Chemical Engineering

    Advantageous Qualifications

    • APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management)
    • APICS CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional)
    • SAPICS Certification
    • SCMP (Supply Chain Management Professional)
    • PMP (Project Management Professional)
    • Postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Management or Logistics

    Experience

    • 10 years' experience within Supply Chain Management, Planning, Manufacturing or Logistics environments
    • Minimum 5 years' management experience leading a Supply Chain function
    • Proven experience leading S&OP processes
    • Experience in inventory optimisation and working capital management
    • Experience managing planning systems, forecasting tools and ERP platforms
    • Experience in supply chain analytics

    Advantageous

    • Experience within chemicals, mining, agriculture, manufacturing or industrial sectors
    • Exposure to network optimisation and advanced planning systems
    • Experience leading large-scale supply chain transformation initiatives

    Duties

    Leadership & decision making

    • Support and Execute on the integrated planning strategy, operating model and planning governance framework.
    • Lead the Demand Planning, Supply Planning and Inventory Optimisation functions.
    • Drive planning excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
    • Establish planning standards, policies, procedures and performance measures.
    • Provide input to the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process and facilitate executive decision-making.
    • Develop planning capabilities, succession pipelines and team performance indicators.
    • Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to support business objectives.
    • Provide planning support for new business initiatives, acquisitions, new market entries and operational expansions.
    • Lead, coach and develop planning team subordinates
    • Drive a high-performance culture within the planning function.
    • Establish clear performance objectives, development plans manage talent, succession planning and capability development.
    • Ensure alignment with Omnia values and leadership expectations.

    Demand planning

    • Own and govern the end-to-end demand planning process
    • Lead forecasting activities across all relevant product categories and business units
    • Ensure forecast accuracy and forecast bias management through appropriate methodologies and tools
    • Facilitate collaboration with Commercial, Sales and Marketing teams to create consensus forecasts
    • Review statistical forecasts and challenge assumptions where required
    • Analyse market trends, customer behaviour and demand volatility
    • Identify risks and opportunities impacting demand plans
    • Drive continuous improvement of forecasting processes and planning systems
    • Present demand planning outputs and recommendations to the S&OP

    Supply planning

    • Lead the development and execution of integrated supply plans.
    • Ensure alignment between demand plans, procurement plans, production plans and distribution plans.
    • Facilitate agreement and sign-off of make, buy, move and inventory plans.
    • Manage supply constraints and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Lead scenario planning and network optimisation activities.
    • Lead business continuity planning relating to supply chain risks and disruptions.
    • Provide visibility of material availability while balancing inventory and working capital objectives.

    Sales & operations planning (S&OP)

    • Own and facilitate the monthly S&OP process in area of responsibility
    • Lead demand, supply and inventory review meetings.
    • Drive consensus planning across within their responsible business functions.
    • Identify gaps, risks and opportunities within the planning horizon.
    • Present recommendations and decision requirements to executive leadership.
    • Ensure alignment between commercial objectives and operational capabilities.
    • Monitor S&OP effectiveness and drive continuous maturity improvements.

    Master data governance

    • Ensure integrity, accuracy and consistency of all planning-related master data
    • Lead improvement initiatives relating to planning systems and data quality
    • Manage planning parameters across ERP and planning systems

    Governance, risk & compliance

    • Ensure audit readiness for planning by complying with all applicable legislation, internal policies and supply chain procedures
    • Ensure planning activities comply with delegated authorities and governance requirements.
    • Contribute to planning risk registers and mitigation plans.

    Performance management & reporting

    • Develop and monitor planning performance KPIs
    • Analyse supply chain performance and identify improvement opportunities
    • Report on forecast accuracy, inventory health, service levels, working capital and planning effectiveness
    • Drive data-driven decision-making throughout the organisation
    • Provide executive reporting and strategic planning insights
