Supply Chain Senior Planner at Johnson & Johnson

Position Overview

• In this position you will plan finished goods stock with the direct objective of maximizing customer service within pre-defined inventory levels. As part of this process, you will consider the latest stock levels and order situation in conjunction with the sales forecast. Any deviation in stock availability be it from a supply point of view or sales order/sales forecast point of view, must be monitored, reported and adjusted for accordingly

Tasks & Responsibilities

Daily Operations

• Actively respond to global networks changes direct by Supply Chain Team leader according to predetermined processes and procedures
• Execute all supply chain processes, work closely with the required key stakeholders to achieve business and department key performance indicators.
• Work closely with your team and colleagues to ensure cross functional development and teamwork.
• Drive forecast management with the marketing team
• Support Supply Chain Team lead with the portfolio requirements toward building budgets, business objectives, policies and procedures
• Ensure open lines of communication at all levels, ensure timeous and effective communication to line manager and all stakeholders
• Support Supply Chain Team lead in terms of all requirements for the S&OP meetings
• Manage your portfolio KPIs
• Provide weekly and monthly updates on your portfolio’s KPIs, with detailed analysis on any deviations and comments of corrective action
• Review the parameters on the business planning system, identifies errors and ensures corrective action taken, follows up to confirm correction actioned.
• Review the purchase plan using the Planning system, considering all factors, open orders, on hand, on route, etc, to order required inventory.
• Proactively communicates all deviations to supply or demand to Supply chain team lead and all key stakeholders.
• Generates accurate orders utilizing the business planning system
• Own all the purchase orders with special requirements, involving QA and all involved key stakeholders to ensure proactive expedition of orders to customers.
• Action weekly back orders according to standardized processes, keeping all key stakeholders informed of status.
• Action updates as required for all Consignment master levels
• Expedite all outstanding orders
• Support the supply chain team lead in developing future capabilities

Project Management/Support

• Participate in projects as required to support supply chain team lead
• Participate and support projects and tasks as andwhen you are assigned
• Understand and utilise continuous improvements tools to improve your tasks
• Core analysis and analytics experience required

• End to end supply chain management experience in closing the loop
• Other duties as assigned
• Bachelor Supply Chain/Procurement or similar
• 5 years previous experience in a similar function with direct exposure to inventory planning and scheduling, in a computerized environment. Retail and FMCG experience are an asset
• Fluency in English (written & spoken)
• Advanced computer proficiency in MS Office suite
• Advanced Excel skills critical
• Ability to work independently, manage complexity, use high levels of initiative coupled with a process driven approach and demonstrate good attention to detail
• Above average verbal and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills
