THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

• You are accountable for the production and material planning process within the respective category. You support the analysis of critical demand-supply imbalances as input to the S&OP process. You drive continuous improvement of the production, capacity & material planning process and conduct regular supply analytics and validating planning policies / parameters

Responsibilities
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE:
Key Attributes and Competencies

• Generate supply plans (MPS and MRP) for your respective category and ensure continuous improvement of the supply planning process
• Ensure efficient production planning to provide finished goods in accordance with the demand plan
• Ensure efficient planning of RM/PM to be able to maintain high % of Plan Adherence
• Analyze sales forecast and inventory data to ensure creation of weekly master production schedule in accordance with customer service targets, logistics and manufacturing cost goals for supply chain
• Manage schedulers to develop capacity plans that optimize on time service and productivity
• Collaborate with manufacturing and procurement to optimize supply plan and improve delivery
• Prepare and facilitate Supply Review forums e.g. supply plan with capacity utilization, supply gaps and action plans, supply opportunities
• Analyze critical demand-supply imbalances  and develop various supply scenarios as input to the S&OP process and conduct regular supply analytics and validating planning policies / parameters
• Utilize and continuous develop supply planning tools (SAP IBP)
• Review of target stocks levels on quarterly basis and monthly stock projection
• Manage inventory levels to optimize capital investment with on time service
• Partner with procurement to work on supplier development with strategic vendors
• Ensure planning and coordination with key stakeholders (NPD etc) for new product launches

Qualifications
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Key Professional Competencies

• Core knowledge – Supply Planning, Production Planning, Material Planning and S&OP.  Planning Best Practices (process & technology), The Interrelation of customer service, product management, Inventory management, Supply Chain KPI’s.
• Key foundational competencies
• Academic – Analytical Skills, Negotiation Skills, Problem solving, Decision making, Degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Production or Supply Chain Management
• Leadership – Influencing others, driving long-term results, developing myself & others, staying a step-ahead, managing change
• Personal Effectiveness – Effective communication, Interpersonal skills.

Experience

• Function – 3-5 yrs experience in planning and production management
• Industry – Experience in FMCG industry desirable
