Surveillance Sales Engineer. Cape Town (Century City).

Position Overview:

Duxbury Networking is looking for a Surveillance Sales Engineer that can apply their knowledge across our full Surveillance portfolio. In this role, you should have a thorough knowledge of Surveillance software solutions and architectures with a strong focus on integrations to third-party applications and components. A working knowledge of the supporting data network solutions is also required.

Responsibilities:

•         Obtain customer requirements relating to surveillance (CCTV, VMS, Analytics, Integration, Workflows ie License Plate Recognition, Access Control, Time and Attendance, and Fire detection systems).
•         Design and specification of solutions to meet customer requirements, including the data network component.
•         Deploy and configure POC and Demonstrations to clients requirements.
•         Implement and document the solutions for handover to Technical Services.
•         Provide training to Sales and Technical Services.
•         Continual self-education and researching within the industry.

Qualifications:

•         IT related Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
•         Industry Certifications (e.g. Axis, Milestone).
•         Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.

Experience and Knowledge:

•         10+ Years Industry-related experience in a Technical Sales and/or Engineering role.
•         Solid background in Surveillance solutions and architecture.
•         Worked on a Surveillance solution with more than 100 cameras spanning multiple physical sites.
•         Designed and implemented a data network VLAN solution.
•         Designed and implemented IP subnets.
•         Familiarity with server environments, including virtual, e.g. VMware, Hyper-V.
•         Programming and/or scripting skills.
