Step into the New Year with exciting changes! Do you have extensive SWIFT knowledge? This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our CIB Payments team. In this role you will be required to deliver an improved Swift capability across the Absa group to support the strategic deliverables of the various business areas. The role further encompasses management of the Swift Centre of Excellence analysts ensuring the team delivers a consistent, first class service to its customers (internal and external) across a broad range of products.

• Play a key role in the launch and creation of the SWIFT Centre of Excellence (CoE)
• Plan and influence the SWIFT strategy across the bank with stakeholders, senior management and change teams
• Ensure the Swift CoE is driving the business roadmap for Swift across the continent
• Prioritise projects and improvement areas on the SWIFT book of work
• Be the main representative from Group Payments and CIB ops for the Swift book of work including managing stakeholder expectations with regards to timeframes and benefits of improvements/projects
• Develop, implement and get sign off for the initial SWIFT CoE RCSA
• Identify potential risks around all elements of SWIFT across the bank and within the SWIFT CoE
• Ensure that processes, control requirements and risk management frameworks that impact the area are documented and understood by all members of the team

Education and Experience Required

• SA institute of Bankers or equivalent NQF level 6 banking qualification
• 5 years’ banking industry experience gained through Swift/Payments
• 2 years’ experience in leadership or management
