System Specialist at Sanlam Group

What will you do?

• Responsible for the systematic and methodical investigations, analysis and documentation of all or part of an IT area in terms of functions and processes and the information they use.  Identifies and examines IT area's needs and determines timely and effective solutions to business functions and processes.  Trains process workers on new processes. Assists in implementation of processes and ensures processes are adhered to and improved. 

What will make you successful in this role?

•     Discuss efficient ways to deal with business requirements
•     New product and system enhancements
•     Provide technical support and advice on development methodology and product and process set-up 

    Technical support 

•     Technical support on integration, alignment, product set-up and testing
•     Support and advise on most efficient way to meet business requirements; Industrialisation of solutions before hand-over and advise on interfaces and data requirements
•     Handling queries / support / fixes; Advise on solutions and interface design and data loads

Qualification and Experience

•     Degree or Diploma
•     At least 5 years’ experience in a business analyst role in the insurance industry 
•     Experience in business operations will be advantageous

•     Basic Solutions architecture knowledge 
•     IT process analysis
•     Business requirements definition
•     Process implementation, training and adherence
•     IT Operations and frameworks
•     Knowledge of operational business processes
•     Knowledge of Progress and SQL
•     Ability to read and interpret programme code
•     Ability to advice on solutions across functional areas and systems
