Recruit buyers for each event, manage budgets, travel logistics (flights, hotels, visas, transfers), and buyer appointments.
Build and maintain a database of qualified buyers, serve as the main contact, and ensure smooth communication and travel arrangements.
Conduct industry research, engage with potential buyers, and foster relationships with industry leaders.
Address buyer and exhibitor queries with proactive solutions and support virtual needs, including profile completion, exhibitor updates, and appointment scheduling.
Collaborate with the Portfolio Director on the registration process, manage online registration, email communication, application reviews, and workflows.
Ensure compliance and proper system integration for data and analytics, and support sales and marketing teams with system reporting and training.
Assist the Portfolio Director in managing budgets and cost control, monitor expenses, and drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
Maintain strong communication with stakeholders and third-party suppliers and attend industry events to build and strengthen relationships within the travel and tourism sectors.
Requirements:
3-5 years in buyer recruitment, event management, customer service, or a related role within the travel, tourism, or event industry.
Experience in managing buyer programs, including logistics and client engagement.
Strong background in managing inquiries and providing proactive solutions.
Experience in building and maintaining databases and conducting targeted research.
Familiarity with event registration and management software.
Established connections within the travel, tourism, or creative industries.
Certification in event management, business administration, marketing, hospitality, or a related field. Project management certification is an asset.
Proficiency in English; additional languages (especially French or Portuguese) are advantageous.
