    Systems Engineering Leader

    What You'll Do
    The Systems Engineering (SE) Leader is an authority at technical and business planning related to the Service Provider industry and market direction, and mentors others on resource planning and technical excellence. You will be expected to be an effective business partner with your sales director counterpart as well as the leadership team at the operation level. The SE Leader is responsible for developing a high performing team of Systems Engineers (SEs), demonstrating technical and business excellence. You will be actively engaged externally with your customers’ technical leaders and internally with BU/Development and Customer Experience (CX). Along with the account leadership team, you will review business metrics, progress against the business plan, and initiate changes in anticipation of evolving market/industry trends to achieve and exceed sales goals.

    Who You'll Work With
    As SE Leader you will be responsible for your direct SE team who are focusing on your customers’ SP Infrastructure and SP DC/TelcoCloud. You play a vital role for our SE team by providing technical vision and tying it to strategic business goals. You are regularly sought after for a trusted advisory role, both internally by the account team and externally by your customers and partners. You will demonstrate your internal and external network of business relationships as a focal point to drive collaboration, and to achieve a wide range of business goals and corporate initiatives.

    Who You Are

    • You demonstrate skilled leadership throughout the operation and area.
    • You are an expert in converting high-level strategy into actionable tactics.
    • You look at the business through a 12-18 month window.
    • You have the respect of the SE/SA team, the SE Leaders and the account leadership team, as well as the extended team including Business Units and CX.
    • You are considered a knowledgeable and trusted senior point of contact for internal upper management within the Cisco organization and have a proven track record also with senior level management at our customers and partners.
    • You are able to clearly communicate Cisco's strategic vision.

    Minimum Requirements
    Coming from the Service provider market, you should have experience in the below areas and be keen to expand accordingly

    • 10+ years related experience in the technology industry
    • Profound SP Technology & Industry knowledge
    • Experience in pre-sales and management of related sales support processes
    • Excellent written and oral communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills
    • Cisco experience highly desired
    • Typically requires BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent
