    Tablet Compression Operator

    Job Description

    • A well-established and highly respected pharmaceutical manufacturing company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tablet Compression Operator to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a modern, compliant production environment where quality and precision are at the forefront of daily operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Set up, operate, and break down high-speed tablet compression machines in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Monitor the compression process continuously to ensure tablets meet specified thickness, weight, hardness, and friability standards.
    • Conduct in-process quality checks and accurately document all production data in batch manufacturing records (BMRs).
    • Clean and sanitize equipment and processing rooms, maintaining a audit-ready state compliant with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
    • Identify and report any mechanical malfunctions, deviations, or material discrepancies to the shift supervisor immediately.
    • Assist in troubleshooting machinery issues to minimize downtime and optimize throughput.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
    • Proven experience operating tablet compression machinery within a pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or FMCG manufacturing environment.
    • Solid understanding of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and health and safety regulations.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment setups and adjustments.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team-driven, fast-paced environment.
