    Talent and Organizational Development Manager

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

    Talent Acquisition

    • Works closely with Hiring Manager(s) to understand what candidate profiles to target in regard to

    • Develops and implements recruitment & employer branding strategies to engage with relevant
      profiles in the market to create a pipeline of candidates (e.g. through career fairs, internship
      programs etc.).
    • Uses the ALPLA Recruiting System as leading system for recruitments and established contacts
      to external service providers (search companies) which are able to support during the search of
      difficult profiles if necessary.
    • Uses the ALPLA Recruiting System as leading system for recruitments and established contacts

    • Plans and executes the whole selection and interview process.
    • Communicates expectations, feedback, and status information to candidates throughout the
      selection process.
    • Provides recommendations and guides Hiring Manager(s) in the selection process to ensure
      selected candidates add on to the team capabilities and our organization culture.
    • Manages the offer process, including negotiating and communicating offer information,

    Compensation And Benefits To The Selected Candidate(s).
     

    • Ensures selection process documentation is completed and entered into the ALPLA Recruiting
      System.
    • Collects feedback and implements initiatives to improve recruiting process.
    • Updates the organizational chart, creates announcements and prepares job descriptions for new
      and current employees.
    • Ensures effective on-boarding of all new employees by coordinating and facilitating the on-
      boarding process.
    • Builds and manages training function and supports training needs defined in the annual company
      training plan created through a training need analysis and a training budget.
    • Administrates, plans, organizes and tracks technical as well as non-technical trainings.
    • Issues training certificates if necessary
    • Creates monthly training reports from the ALPLA eAcademy and ensures that all employees
      conduct all mandatory training and eLearning sessions to be compliant.
    • Facilitates workshops and trainings.
    • Creates individual training and development plans together with the Manager(s).
    • Develops human resource planning models to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps
      and organizes specific training programs for filling the gaps. Ensures succession plans are in
      place for key positions and critical talent(s) who would like to develop further.
    • Responsible for the performance management cycle throughout the year (Employee Dialogue
      including AlplaPEOPLE Software). This includes working with managers and employees to
      continually ensure the process is simple and impactful, while always improving with the end goal of
      driving business impact.
    • Executes engagement and cultural initiatives/events/programs for all employees (blue and white
      collar) to cultivate a positive company culture and to celebrate business wins.
    • Provides internal consulting and coaching to managers to improve performance and drive
      effective change.
    • Implements training and development KPIs and evaluates effectiveness of training and
      development programs to revise and recommend changes
    • Reviews instructor performance to recommend improvements to the program content,
      presentation methods etc.

    What makes you great

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher education in HR, Business Administration or related studies.
    • Minimum 3 - 5 years of HR generalist experience required
    • Experience and know-how in recruitment, talent development, performance management and
      remuneration approaches.
    • Knowledge with organizational change efforts to effectively facilitate and support change
      management.
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines.
    • Ability to create and maintain strong working relationships both with customers and internal
      stakeholders.
    • Practical knowledge of South African labour law & employment requirements.
    • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills in English.
    • Must have diverse experience with blue- and white-collar workers.
