Team Leader Finance at Discovery Limited

Key Purpose

Finance team leader role whose responsibilities include calculating and processing journals, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, completion of tax schedules and review thereof. The role may also be responsible for the drafting of management accounts and manex reporting, adhoc financial reporting analysis, and any other financial reporting related tasks.

Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to:

• Financial journals
• Financial reconciliations
• Tax schedules
• Intercompany invoicing
• Product finance support
• Variance analysis
• Management accounts
• Vat reconciliation
• Support the business unit with daily, weekly and monthly reports as required

Education and Experience

Education:

Essential:

• Matric
• BCom degree / Finance diploma

Advantageous:

• BCom honors
• 1 to 2 years work experience

Experience

• Good understanding of accounting principles and application thereof
• Financial reporting
• Excel

 Advantageous:

• Sage
