    Team Leader: Merchant Collections

    Purpose Statement

    • To optimise service delivery of Merchant Collections through the management of the Merchant Collections team and operational activities.

    Experience

    Minimum:

    • 2-3 yrs. experience of a leadership or management role in a collections environment 

    • Experience in a role which required delegation, quality assurance and validating work 

    Qualifications (Minimum)

    • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational

    • A relevant tertiary qualification in Banking or Credit Management

    Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

    • A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management

    Knowledge

    Minimum:

    • Sound knowledge of the collections environment including relevant legislation and regulations

    • Sound knowledge of collection of returned debit orders 

    • Principles of customer service

    • Acquiring knowledge (merchant processes etc.) and the merchant environment

    • Customer Relationship Management 

    • Stakeholder relationship engagement and management

    • Responsibility for delivery in a fast moving environment

    • People management practices

    • Business acumen

    Ideal:

    • Capitec Bank products, systems and processes relevant to Merchant Services Operations, including multiple systems and processes.
