The Team Lead Role
The Determined, Resilient, Empowered, Aids-free, Mentored and Safe (DREAMS) programme provides a comprehensive package of core interventions to address key factors that make adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) particularly vulnerable to HIV. These include structural factors, such as gender-based violence, exclusion from economic opportunities, and a lack of access to secondary school. DREAMS layers multiple interventions at once so that AGYW are surrounded with critical support to keep them safe from HIV and other risks.
The Team Leader position will support and deliver on NACOSA’s USAID funded Community-based Violence Prevention and Linkages to Response in SA Programme. This HIV and GBV Prevention Programme focuses on delivering both evidence-based group interventions to adolescent girls and young women and adolescent boys and young men (aged 15-19 and 20-49 years). It further focuses on secondary interventions services to survivors of sexual violence (females aged 15-24 years).
Three Team Leads will support the implementation of the NO Means No intervention Programme in two (Sub District A and D) of the seven Health Sub-Districts of the City of Johannesburg.
NACOSA is looking for experienced Team Leads to deliver on the following key performance areas:
