Job Requirements

• At least a Bsc Hons (Physics) degree or equivalent qualification with three to five years’ working experience to enable the design of experiments and demonstrations over a wide range of technological fields.
• Proven experience as Lab Technician or relevant post.
• Practically inclined and handy with hand and power tools in order to build new apparatus and to take equipment apart for maintenance and reassembly.

• Computer literacy, problem solving skills, verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, people and diversity management skills, strategic and analytical skills, sound financial management skills, report writing skills, presentation skills, research skills and project management skills;
• Teamwork skills and patience;
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety;
• Flexible in order to work with and provide support for a number of people.

Recommendation

• MSc (Physics) degree or equivalent qualification;
• Excellent scientific and technical knowledge and good programming skills;
• Knowledge of Radiation Safety.
