An opportunity has become available to service clients across the Western Cape (Cape Town and surroundings). This role offers the chance to combine technical expertise with commercial acumen to drive sales growth and provide specialised solutions in the chemical manufacturing sector.
This role requires a results-driven individual with strong technical knowledge, proven sales skills, and a commitment to delivering safe and sustainable solutions.
Qualifications and Experience
Degree or Higher National Diploma in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Metallurgy, or Chemical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years relevant technical sales experience with a chemical qualification, or 10 years industry experience.
At least 2 years in a sales and service role within the chemical manufacturing sector.
Exposure to polymer application for solid/liquid separation is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, retain, and grow designated accounts, ensuring sustainability and profitability.
Deliver accurate chemical applications across cooling, boiler and solid-liquid separation systems.
Conduct on-site evaluations and laboratory testing to monitor and optimise chemical performance.
Ensure continuity of chemical supply, housekeeping, and compliance with SHERQ standards.
Support Account Managers with continuous improvement initiatives and technical projects.
Complete accurate reporting, budgeting, and administration.
