Technical Support Manager - ADS at Epiroc

Job description:

• Responsible to provide all necessary Technical Support to existing and upcoming EDS Fleet in the region (Excluding Automation site)
• Responsible to maintain one to one ration (MOL) for all EDS equipment with aim of 100% compliance
• Responsible for 100% implementation of Product Safety bulletin /TSBN
• Manage team of EDS field service and ensure 100 % utilization of labour hours with aim to maintain zero service variance
• Proactively plan for Equipment Commissioning, Resource planning, Service tools
• Responsible to handle warranty claims both internally and Externally
• Grow service footprint and service revenue
• Work very closely with Sales & Marketing team of PSD and Capital Equipment and provide all necessary inputs e.g.  Running cost & LCC
• Work very closely with Sales & Marketing team in developing new Service Agreement proposals  
• Responsible to manage and execution of service level agreements at customer site by proactively planning of required resources, tools, facilities etc.
• Assist Sales & Marketing team in developing Midlife Rebuild business by conducting Rig Scan Audit / Equipment Audits
• Provide all necessary technical support to workshop on equipment modification and actively participate in PDI process 
• Assist Sales & Marketing team / Contract team in Critical spare planning and forecasting
• Grow service footprint and service revenue
• Liaise with Product Companies in USA and China
• Ensure that all safety related aspects are managed and adhered to in field service
• Safeguard a safe and healthy working environment in your domain and ensure that "The Way We Do Things" & "Code of Conduct" is followed.
• Drive competence & technical training plan for all Field Service & Contract technicians
• Hold the legal responsibility of Middleburg area

Education and Experience

• Grade 12 or equivalent plus a Technical or Engineering qualification.
• Tertiary Technical qualification NQF 6/7 would be preferable.
• A minimum experience of 3 - 5 years Technical and maintenance experience products in a similar industry.
• Advanced English and computer skills
