    Foreman

    Main Responsibilities or Functions of Job

    To ensure that the shift maintenance is conducted within the required parameters for Legal requirements, Safety and Environment requirements, Maintenance and Production Performance requirements, Quality requirements and Financial limits.

    • To adhere to environment, health and safety programmes and requirements
    • To do first line staff management
    • To supervise maintenance and breakdown teams

    • Manage the relationship between Epiroc and the client to the benefit of both companies.
    • Ensure that Epiroc comply with the signed agreement between Epiroc and the clients.

    • Maintain high quality of service delivered by Epiroc under all circumstances.
    • Ensure that all employees in area of responsibility maintain a high ethical standard.
    • Coach and train staff.
    • Maintain good morale under all employees.
    • Efficiently manage the Epiroc labour’s variable compensation.
    • Compile monthly report to Epiroc and the client.
    • Responsible for workshop vehicles, plant, tools and machinery.

    • To Manage training of your team
    • To report at required intervals about team performance and other agreed parameters
    • Cleanliness of the workshop and storage area / Good housekeeping. Accept full responsibility and accountability for all work designated to him within his area of responsibility.
    • Report any contraventions of standards, Legal requirements or procedures as well as health and safety hazards to his immediate supervisor after he has done all that are reasonably possible to rectify the situation.
    • Ensure that all subordinates and contractors working in his area of responsibility are appointed and that all subordinates and contractor personnel are competent to carry out their duties and all machinery and equipment used by the contractors conform to the mine standards and procedures.
    • The proper record keeping of all work done in logbooks provided for all machinery and equipment in his area.
    • Keep record and report breakdowns, call-outs, spares usage etc. for all equipment in his area of responsibility and for the interest of continual condition monitoring purposes. Assist the Maintenance planner in compiling reports and feedback to the maintenance planning system.
    • All hazards must be identified in his section and remedial measures drawn up and implemented to eliminate accidents incident. (All accidents incidents in his section must be reported to his immediate supervisor without delay.)
    • He must adhere to all relevant Policies and Procedures, Engineers Instructions, Engineer’s Work Practices, Codes of Practices and Engineering Standards pertaining to his area of responsibility.
    • Hold safety meetings with all his sub-ordinates daily and also after an accident incident in his section.
    • Schedule leaves for all his sub-ordinates.
    • Plan weekend work for subordinates and parade the correct people for a specific job.
    • Diligently execute all projects given to him.
    • The respective personnel must be conversant with electricity in his area of responsibility.
    • He must complete the times sheets correctly and submit them to the time administration when required.
    • He will be responsible for the recognized on-the-job safety of subordinates reporting to him.
    • Ensure that PPE is worn during all tasks.
    • Manage damages reporting and invoicing on machine

    Product Specialist - ADS

    Mission

    • Develop and maintain a customer-focused team, and continuously drive customer share and customer satisfaction to the highest level possible.
    • Establish a wide and solid customer base, by continuously finding new ways to grow service penetration & part sales.
    • Support the customer in continuous improvement projects and initiatives and develop a preferred supplier status.
    • Drive service excellence and Epiroc machine performance towards the customers, by offering & implementing value-added services for all Epiroc machines on site.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Provide specialized support on Epiroc machines systems including automation.
    • Carry out scheduled services and breakdown repairs on Epiroc ADS equipment.
    • Coaching Epiroc and Mine employees on how to operate, troubleshoot, and repair Epiroc autonomous and other equipment systems.
    • Fault finding, perform root cause analysis, and rectify the issue.
    • Market and promote Field Service work and other Aftermarket services and products to customers to support the business growth of the Aftermarket Department
    • Participate in RCA initiatives to identify reoccurring failures and work together with the Product Company to find sustainable solutions.
    • Participate in productivity and efficiency improvement projects.
    • To take responsibility for the safe storage and maintenance of the company’s vehicles and equipment in your care.
    • Work well in a team to drive a successful output that meets customer requirement.
    • Liaise with Epiroc Product Company Engineering representatives to further develop our product.
    • Be able to carry out set tests on behalf of the Product Company and report on results.
    • Willingness to travel as and when required in the performance of your duties and training.
    • Ensure timely implementation of Epiroc Safety Campaigns (Technical Service News Bulletin)
    • Work closely with the Demand Planning team to ensure the correct spare parts (mix) in the Country and Region to support the customer.
    • Develop maintenance practices for Epiroc equipment and customers aligned with automation.

    Experience requirements

    • Technical knowledge of Epiroc Surface Rotary Blasthole Drills
    • Advanced RCS Troubleshooting Skills
    • Trimble High Precision GPS Experience 
    • Automation Implementation expertise will be advantageous.
    • Proficient in troubleshooting all drill systems
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Computer Literate  
    • Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint)
    • Good planning and organizational skills
    • Ability to work unsupervised at Epiroc standards
    • Valid driver’s license

    Educational requirements

    • Grade 12 with a suitable trade qualification
    • Technical Qualification, N4 and/orN5 and/or N6 or equivalent

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, IT or any related field.
    • Proven experience as a business analyst.
    • Proven training in Business Process Modeling.
    • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Visio and Access is advantageous.
    • The ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

    Technical Support Manager - ADS

    Job description:

    • Responsible to provide all necessary Technical Support to existing and upcoming EDS Fleet in the region (Excluding Automation site)
    • Responsible to maintain one to one ration (MOL) for all EDS equipment with aim of 100% compliance

    • Provide all necessary technical support to workshop on equipment modification and actively participate in PDI process 
    • Assist Sales & Marketing team / Contract team in Critical spare planning and forecasting
    • Grow service footprint and service revenue
    • Liaise with Product Companies in USA and China
    • Ensure that all safety related aspects are managed and adhered to in field service
    • Safeguard a safe and healthy working environment in your domain and ensure that "The Way We Do Things" & "Code of Conduct" is followed.
    • Drive competence & technical training plan for all Field Service & Contract technicians
    • Hold the legal responsibility of Middleburg area

    Education and Experience

    • Grade 12 or equivalent plus a Technical or Engineering qualification.
    • Tertiary Technical qualification NQF 6/7 would be preferable.
    • A minimum experience of 3 - 5 years Technical and maintenance experience products in a similar industry.

    Distribution Centre Business Controller

    Job description

    Some of the main responsibilities will include checking and verifying the financial performance of the entity. Analysing business risk and opportunities, financial analysis to improve business profitability. You will need to communicate with the Managers about the financial performance and promote accountability and the use of self-service BI-reports for financial follow-ups. You will take the lead in the financial planning process and participate in Business Review Meetings as well as follow up on accounts receivables in cooperation with customer centers.

     Review for accuracy, maintain for consistency, and develop for efficiency processes in the Regional Distribution Center related to: 

    • Unadjusted Gross Profit analysis
    • Inventory cost
    • Net transport cost
    • Other lines in Adjustment to Cost of sales

    • Maintain and develop procedures for calculation and execution of cost allocation and distribution, MO-rates
    • Maintain and develop monthly closing and reporting procedures with collaboration with the Centre of Excellence
    • Participate in projects
    • Give financial training and support to employees at all levels 
    • Responsible for the audit process in the local site through close cooperation with the Centre of Excellence
    • Other duties assigned by the Supply Chain Business Controller and Regional Supply Chain Manager

    Knowledge and experience  

    • Minimum 3-5 years of controlling, finance and accounting
    • Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management qualification
    • Strong analytic skills
    • Special Knowledge, Certification or Licenses in Finance/Controlling area is an asset
    • M3, ECS, BI and MS Excel user
    • Thorough knowledge of The Epiroc Way
    • Thorough understanding of supply chain processes 
    • Strong English and local language (not mandatory) communication skills both verbal and written
