    Technical Support Telesales Agent (VR 39)

    The Role

    • This is not just a telesales position — it’s a technical support-driven sales role where you will act as the first point of contact for customers requiring generator support, servicing, quotations and solutions.
    • You will coordinate technicians, manage service schedules, assist with sales and ensure customers receive fast, professional and knowledgeable assistance.
    • This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a structured yet fast-paced environment, and is confident dealing with both technical and sales-related responsibilities.

    Key Responsibilities

     Technical & Customer Support

    • Act as first-line telephonic technical support for generator-related queries
    • Provide immediate solutions and guidance to customers
    • Keep customers informed regarding service progress and work status
    • Handle product-related complaints and resolve issues professionally

    Technician Coordination & Scheduling

    • Create service schedules and plan optimal routing for technicians
    • Debrief technicians after service calls
    • Process service invoices and job cards
    • Schedule sub-contractor work and maintain strong working relationships

     Quotations & Administration

    • Prepare quotations for services and spare parts
    • Process warranty claims and work orders
    • Execute sales orders accurately
    • Update and maintain customer records in the system
    • Monitor inventory and report on stock levels

    Sales & Client Engagement

    • Liaise with prospective clients
    • Promote and sell products and services
    • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
    • Assist walk-in customers and understand their specific requirements
    • Process payments and ensure accurate documentation

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric (preferably with Higher Grade subjects, especially Mathematics C+)
    • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport (essential)
    • Telesales experience advantageous
    • Technical interest in engines or electrical systems advantageous
    • Strong selling, negotiation and communication skills
    • Excellent numeracy and attention to detail
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel essential)
    • Computer literate and comfortable with retail/service software
    • Presentable, professional and strong work ethic
    • Target-driven, confident and able to work under pressure
    • Strong time management and organisational skills
    • Team player with the ability to work independently
