    Technician: BI Software Developer

    • Provide applications support by means of broad area competence, investigates problems and other requests for support and determines appropriate actions to take.
    • Ensure all work is performed and documented in accordance with required standards, methods and procedures.
    • Work together with other employees and clients/users to investigate and model business functions, processes, information flows and data structures, using methodical and consistent techniques.
    • Document work using BCX’s required standards, methods and tools.
    • Participate in client meetings and assist in presenting issues and solutions through oral and written communication.
    • Use database management tools to investigate, diagnose and resolve database problems in accordance with service level agreements, referring to database users, other staff and suppliers as and when necessary
    • Execute routine configuration/installation and reconfiguration of database and related products in alignment with BCX’s standards Software Installation.
    • Timeously responds to instructions or follows agreed plans to install or remove items of software (typically those requiring greatest expertise in installation) and finds the necessary items and checks that these are as described in the instructions or plans
    • Participate in the configuration of software and equipment for systems testing of platform specific versions of one or more software products with minimum supervision
    • Design large and/or complex programs and program modifications from supplied specifications using agreed
    • Required Certification/Professional Registration Basic certification in operating systems optional/ Basic software development language certification
