Technician Operator: MCOE at BCX

Core Description

To provide 1st and 2nd level Systems Operator support to various stakeholders internal & external to BCX including: Networks, SAP and Server support 

Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

• Monitor Network and Server health.
• Conducting support to all store upon ticket generation via auto-log and customer contact centre.  Timeous escalations of anomalies experienced on each shift.
• Respond to client enquiries and escalate problems that cannot be resolved.
• Resolve escalate and monitor actions to meet agreed time and quality targets to ensure business continuity to client.
• An understanding of SLA requirements
• Take cognisance of industry compliance requirements
• Be aware of changes implemented in the client’s environment and report thereof.
• Adhere to client’s policies, procedures, and governance
• Adhere to BCX policies and procedures

• Skills in Cisco, Linux, SAP and I-direct systems,
• Knowledge in the use of EMS (Enterprise Monitoring Systems)
• Knowledge of system and batch monitoring

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (NQF 4) with relevant IT Certification

Experience

• 1 to 2 years’ experience in Networking and Server solutions specifically in monitoring with EMS and SAP BI, ERP, CRM. 

Certifications / Professional Registration

• A+
• N+
• CCNA
• SAP certified

Special Requirements/ Employment Condition

• Valid Drivers license
• Willing to work extended hours
