Purpose Of The Position

• Reporting into the Safety Manager, the incumbent will be required to design, direct, and monitor the safety control program for the operation and to assist management in enforcing compliance to the applicable standards, legislation and regulations, with the aim of achieving zero harm.

Qualifications & Expertise

Essential

• Matric
• Possess or in process of studying towards a National Diploma or Nebosh Diploma in Safety Management

Desirable

• SAMTRAC or equivalent
• Engineering Related Qualification

Specific Experience

• 2-3 years Safety related/ Administration/ Production / technical experience

FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS

• Provides a prompt response to and resolution to queries – both internally and externally
• Analyses Statistical and safety data
• Responsible for documentation control
• Conducts Audits
• Reports on Incidents/accidents
• Provides other Administrative (functional) support as required.
