Temp General Ledger Accountant at NOV

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, leases, and inventory. 
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. 
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and resolve any reconciling items. 
• Apply accounting principles (IFRS, US GAAP) and ensure compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements. 
• Assist with tax and financial audits as needed. 
• Provide financial analysis and support to operational teams

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
• 3-5 years of general accounting experience in a commercial environment
• Knowledge of IFRS, and familiarity with US GAAP and SOX reporting is advantageous
• Strong understanding of accounting theory and principles
• Highly detail-oriented and organized, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and experience with ERP systems
• Fluency in English is required, and French language skills are an advantage
