    Time & Attendance Clerk - Kathu

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    Responsible for administering the time and attendance system, compiles and records employee time and payroll data. Monitors attendance and reports daily to senior management on issues pertaining to time and attendance (overtime, sick leave, etc.). Gathers information, processes inputs and generates relevant reports. Identifies  discrepancies and initiates action, providing timeous follow up. Ensures company policies and procedures are maintained and offers advice and assistance.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Maintain employee data on Human Resources Information Systems i.e HR Manage and X-time.
    • Maintain and conduct audits on time and attendance system.
    • Compile weekly and monthly absent and overtime reports and distribute to line managers.
    • Consolidation and review of weekly standby  and call-out list
    • Collecting weekly time sheet and verification thereof.
    • Consolidate all payroll and overtime data and submit  to Payroll.
    • Verify accuracy of all hours and other data.
    • Monitor attendance issues and refer to line managers (sick leave abuse or certain leave types without correct supporting documentation).
    • Maintain and update data fields in the time and attendance system.
    • Train employees, stand-ins and new Line Managers on organization’s timekeeping system (Web Exceptions)
    • Ensure accurate data is submitted for payroll and all deviations are communicated and corrected timeously.
    • Assisting with monthly rental sheet
    • Ensure clearance of all web exceptions
    • Assist with HR monthly data for reports.
    • Complete, verify and process forms and documentation for administration of benefits such as unemployment insurance fund (UIF) and pension fund for B and C bands.
    • Correctly capturing employee onboarding data and maintenance thereof (for access control purposes).

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

    • Grade 12 or NQF level 4 equivalent
    • Human Resources Management (NQF Level 5 or related qualification).
    • Computer literate

    MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

    • Up to 3 years’ experience within a Time and Attendance Clerk / Administrator role.
    • Mining experience is preferential.
    • Knowledge of relevant legislation
    • Planning, organizing and coordination skills
    • Ability to work without Supervision
