A specialised engineering plastics manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Toolmaker with strong injection moulding tooling expertise to manufacture, maintain, and repair precision tools within a fast-paced production environment.
The role requires strong mechanical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to support CNC programming and production engineering functions where required.
Responsibilities:
Manufacture, maintain, and repair injection moulding tools to production standards
Modify and repair existing tooling to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime
Support production and engineering teams with tooling and technical requirements
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tooling designs accurately
Assist with CNC programming and machining support where required
Ensure tooling meets precision and quality standards for production use
Work closely with manufacturing teams to support continuous production flow
Requirements:
Qualified Toolmaker with 3–5 years’ relevant experience
Strong experience in injection moulding tooling (essential)
Background in manufacturing or engineering production environments
Experience with CNC machining processes advantageous
Exposure to Edgecam, HCAM, or CNC programming beneficial
Strong mechanical aptitude and technical problem-solving ability
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
